The full meaning of Grace is Jesus crucified on the Cross! Read all passages about His crucifixion and see yourself in His place. We in His place would not be Grace.
God does not see us simply as children, He has us as Sons.
I'm even for the youngest son who returned home, humbled, repentant. His Father didn't let him speak. He hit him with extravagant Grace. He moved the servants of his house to give him a bath, to bring the ring and sandals, to kill the fatted calf, to convene the instrumentalists: "Today I will throw a big party at my house because my son returned, he was lost, but now is found."
There are still many children of God who not understanding His Grace only believe that is enough to save them, but not to support them in their perseverance to the end.
